Elizabethan Renaissance Corset
Elizabethan Dorothea Style Corset

This lovely Elizabethan corset is embroidered satin brocade built on a canvas base for added strength and a regal posture; plus a 100% cotton batting is layered bettween the satin and the canvas for comfort and durability. The embroidery is a colorful period Jacobean motif. The Dorothea style body (A 16th century corset, buried with Pfaltzgrafin Dorothea Sabine von Neuberg in 1598.) is taken from descriptions and illustrations in "The Tudor Tailor" by Ninya Mikhaila and Jan Malcolm-Davies. This interpretation of that garment is more decorative than the original and has a wood busk rather than the original ivory and the boning is synthetic rather than whalebone. All in all, a respectful and beautiful version for your pleasure. Remaining quantites are now in Season Clearance...New items will be available soon.
